I ought to be able to make a post or two out of all of these events, but my heart is rent open by the carnage and I can't seem to find the words to express what I'm feeling. Despair, fear, surprise, disgust..... kidnapping teens and grandparents, raping women while their families listened to the screams over the phone... these people want to destroy my people..... I can't figure out what to write.
I've tried all afternoon to put something together about this, and I've failed.
Forgive me. I really tried. Perhaps tomorrow will bring clarity, or a different topic on which to rant. For now, I'm going to try not to wallow in the muck.
I think maybe just stick to football. The conflict there is explicable and doesn't lead to carnage.

I find myself only sleeping part of the night, with the stories I've read repeating in my mind of the horrors that happened in Israel and only because people are the wrong ethnicity. I won't even call it religion given what these monsters did. It's a nightmare for the poor people but also the world as this kind of hate seems to justify more hate to sick minds. I think, as the Hamas leader claimed proudly, there will be more attacks and not just in Israel. With all the seeming approval we saw from some Americans, we can look for it here. Every time they talk of hating Israel, they add the evil United States. A horrible time for hate. :(

I have trouble watching the news right now. I did chores around the house while Terry watched national news yesterday evening. I always like to watch the news and keep up with what's happening in the world, as well as my own backyard, but it's really hard right now.
