My Mohs Nose

Typing through swollen eyes and a potato on my face to say that the Mohs surgery was successfu.  The stitching was necessary and I somehow never got the memo.

Thanks for the love.  I'm going to ice my face.

  1. Oh boy I do sympathize with you on this one, have had 3 Mohs, one on top of my head,, one on temple and one on my right eyebrow. Icing your face is a good choice, it will get better. Hang in there. Price we pay from a life lived outside in the sun.

  2. Okay, I finally took the hint--MOHS--had no idea what you were talking about so looked it up.

Mohs micrographic surgery is a very safe, highly effective outpatient procedure, not a life-threatening or major hospital operation. It is considered the gold standard for treating common skin cancers—like basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma—achieving cure rates of up to 99%.

Now I know why your face is in the shape it's in.

  3. Well, I'm glad it was successful because you don't want to mess around with cancer. That is was more complicated that you expected is a bummer. Take care.
