On The Road Again
Goodbye kisses are awfully sweet.
I love you, too, Gramma.
Tight hugs. Fond eye locks.
And then they're off to get smarter and see friends. Back to their regular routines, while TBG and I pack up our memories and fly away.
We have a sense of how their days go. We met their coaches and their friends. Their puppy and TBG renewed their love affair. The mall emptied itself into our carry bags.
The visit was a success. It always feels too short.
So glad you got to have time, in 3D, with your kids. It's the best. We haven't been with our kids since the first weekend of October, but it appears they are coming for Thanksgiving and we will again host the meal. Then, if all goes accordingly, we will see them the first part of December for just a glimmer as Terry is scheduled for his last treatment at Stanford.
ReplyDeleteI loved those days when our grands were little, or young, even when we had to travel to Colorado to see them. Now they are off on their own, and while not too far away, we seldom see them. That's OK. Life goes on.
