Little Cuter and SIR are considering cutting their cable.
Our provider is no longer contracted with ABC, which is now a problem since TBG has entered his Sports Deprivation Season and is forced to follow professional basketball, many games of which are on ABC.
You would think that this would be a problem with a solution, and I'm sure you're right. There ought to be a way to send my computer's input to my television. They tempt me with apps names like CastTV, which I download and then am unable to use.
We pay Xfinity a hefty fee each month for cable and internet. There's streaming music on a surround sound system inside and outside the house. It's fun when I'm swimming laps, not so much when I'm trying to have a conversation in the living room.
Since I first posted about this I've been asking random people if they understand TV these days. The first person who says yes will be hired to explain it to me.
If there's anyone who understands TV these days they need to write a book to explain it to the rest of us! It will become a best seller overnight for sure.
ReplyDeleteWe are still in the prehistoric age of an antenna for our tv. No streaming services. We watch very little tv and it gets to be less each year. We are not sports afficionadas so that's not an issue. For you I would suggest you find the services that give you everything you want and just go ahead and pay the ridiculous prices. You enjoy this entertainment and use it a lot so it's worth it.
ReplyDeleteWe are still with Xfinity also, and recently they added three streaming services to our cable line up, Apple TV being one of them, so we can get our soccer matches without the rigmarole of streaming. If I can't get it on my voice remote, I don't get it.
ReplyDeleteFriends use Sling TV to watch live sports. Maybe look into that one? I don't stream and we don't have a smart TV, so I can't recommend anything from personal experience.
ReplyDeleteYes!
ReplyDeleteNow, let's talk fees... A simple roundtrip ticket to Phoenix should do the trick. 🤣
We dropped cable programming 18 months ago. Still have Xfinity as provider in our AZ and WA homes, signal comes in via cable, have a wireless router that provides internet for computers and internet TV to the televisions, we have Amazon Prime and other streaming services for TV content and it has worked just fine.
