Andor

I never followed the overall arc of the Star Wars movies.  I knew that the original film was Episode 4 in a larger series; that was strange but ignorable.

I liked the light sabers and the droids and the overall silliness that took itself so seriously.  There was camp and snark and lots of laughs as the first three movies drew me to the theater.

Then there were the prequels and the earlier episodes and the follow up stories which Big Cuter continued to watch and, for the most part,  warn me against.

He knows my screen time is precious.  I don't waste it. He is happy to preview and recommend or dissuade. When he suggested Andor as our binge watch during this visit, we were happy to trust him.

Do you wonder what it feels like to be at the top of the food chain, to order the Light Brigade into the Valley, and then to live with the consequences of what needed to be done? Do you wonder about the fate of children in a society destroyed by greed? Does the clash of cultures intrigue you? Do you love beautifully tailored clothing? If so,  Andor is for you.

There are moments that speak to our current political situation, raw and painful moments that cannot be avoided but hurt to expose.

There are rifts in the social fabric.  Trust, rules, and promises are broken. Explosions,  meteor showers, and blasters make loud noises.

And then there are the clothes

.
I spent every scene featuring Mon Mothma saying I Want That.

We just finished season one.  I can hardly wait for the kids to go to sleep so we can start season two.
