There are humans on this planet who think that RFKjr is qualified to be in charge of health care in America.
I can't write about it. There's nothing I can do about it.
Thousands of government workers aren't sure if they have jobs any more; they can't find the answer because they're locked out of their computers.
Nothing I can do about that, either.
The airwaves are filled with moaning and groaning but there's little information and I don't want to hear about it, anyway.
And an atmospheric river is sending fire ravaged hills flooding Southern California, Brother in Maryland made a serious sized snowman, and I'm powerless there, too.
So TBG and I began bingeing The Newsroom, which is quaintly optimistic while pointing a sharp finger nail at broadcast media.
It's a much wiser choice.
Just read this about the resignations and cancellations at the Kennedy Center after the horrible man took over. It speaks truth:
ReplyDeleteThis is the kind of rejection that infuriates Donald Trump more than anything. He has long wanted to be accepted by America's cultural elites. Instead, they see him for the cruel, fascist, incompetent failure he truly is. @OccupyDemocrats
So very true.
DeleteObama ridiculed him and he ran for office. The man is seriously deranged. I'm loving the people looking for a rationale that isn't centered around a damaged little boy.

That creature is no more qualified to be in charge of healthcare than Alex Jones. The travesty here is that the majority of Republicans in the Senate know that and they voted for him anyway because they're afraid of 47.
ReplyDeleteAnd where are the Democrats saying WE will find an unbeatable candidate and target you in the next primary. Money talks.

We are admonished by Democrats to fight, to stay activated and informed. Well, I am informed, but really, what can I do? Especially when Congress can't do much and the courts may be stymied too.
ReplyDeleteCongress and the courts COULD do a lot if they got together and stood firmly with the law. But, they seem to all kowtow to the monsters in the White House. Congress and judges appear to be scared to death of these characters.
DeleteYou can call and email every day. They do keep track of the numbers.

Ashleigh Burroughs YOU have kept me INSPIRED my entire career. As an emergency physician, I have had to navigate through the muck of our healthcare system, not to mention personal challenges. No matter how bad things get, when I feel I can't keep going...when I feel like fighting the good fight is futile...thinking of you makes me keep pushing on. We can't change the things that are out of our control, but we can do our part to make our little corner of the world a better place - and it all adds up. Don't despair!
ReplyDeleteHence, Grandma's Garden and the Prince Elementary School scholars' presence in my life. But the larger world situation keeps bumping into my space.
DeleteThanks for the kind words. They (really) do mean something.
