There's going to be a hard frost tonight, and another one tomorrow night. The Weather Service warns me to cover my vulnerable plants. I drove to Grandma's Garden to do just that.
I went out in the dark to cover our lemon tree,
Ieaving the petunias to their own devices for survival.
There were snow covered mountains as I turned into my driveway.
I'm having a hard time remembering how it felt last week, on, according to FlapJilly, The Best New Year's Eve Ever, when the backyard looked like this
instead of this:
They picked the right week to visit. There's no sunshine when they're gone.
I have been seeing your temperatures, even lower than ours, and wondering how you Arizonans are managing. That is some mighty cold weather.
ReplyDeleteYes, it was colder here this morning than it was in Indiana. We are complaining and shivering and wearing sweaters we barely remembered owning.

Cold weather is spreading across the country. We will finally get our first deep freeze for the year by the end of the week. And snow!
