An Apologetic Snippet
I've read all the C J Box Joe Pickett stories. The newest was released last month.
I went to the used book store. No one had turned one in.
I went to the library. I'm number 395 on the Hold List.
I went to Barnes and Noble and bought the hard back. With all my discounts, it cost about $16.
I'll finish it tonight and resell it tomorrow.
Sometimes, I just have to shop... and read.
I'll be back tomorrow with deep thoughts and profundities and witticisms. Right now, I'm going to finish my new book. I have 120 of the 387 pages left.

A new book in a series you love is hard to put down!!
WOW! 395 on the wait list? That's a very long list. Does your library do digital loans? Ours does, but there is still a wait list for some books.

We put off watching Billions for 20 minutes so that I could finish the last chapter!

I put my name on all the editions - digital, large print, book - I wanted. There are 125 copies in the system, but still.........
And holding a brand new book made me happy. And I put money in the author's pocket. All in all, it was a win-win situation.
