It was controlled chaos.
There was collaboration
and independent work.
Grandma brought scrapbooking tools for making round edges with hearts,
odd edged scissors,
stickers,
and magic markers of varying viability.
Some were immediately enthusiastic
and some took a little more convincing.
And, in the end,
it was all about love.
This looks like so much fun. I STILL love making Valentine's with my kids. I only have one left that is in elementary school and I will be so sad when he no longer wants to make Valentine's. I take it too as a challenge in trying to find something unique and different than what the other kids may give out.

It's the only formal activity I do with the Middle School, and I love watching them play :-)

I am so glad you continue to have contact with the kids after they leave elementary school. I only get to maintain that contact until 6th grade and then, poof, they are gone.
ReplyDeleteThe schools share a campus and cafeteria/performance space. The kids say they miss me... I know I miss them.
