I always felt it was weird to compliment my parents' anniversary because they were angry all the time, yet they stuck it out.....<br />a/bAshleigh Burroughshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05790757220725900941noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2546626959391412613.post-22571462775981076492017-06-29T06:38:03.834-07:002017-06-29T06:38:03.834-07:00People always congratulate someone for a long marr...People always congratulate someone for a long marriage but in reality, it should only be for a long mostly happy marriage as to stay just because when it's like two unequally hitched mules (an analogy for my grandparents on my mother's side marriage). My husband and I will be married 53 years in September and we've sure had our ups and downs. I read something a famous director once said when his daughter asked how their marriage had survived. He said, we just never wanted a divorce at the same time. I think for happily surviving marriages that probably says it well. Sometimes divorce is the best choice but it's never an easy one even today.Rain Trueaxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07994628226501093880noreply@blogger.com
