I fear the little ones will knock her over and she will be hurt... but she inspires me. My mom says, "When the going gets tough, the tough get going," and Grandma embodies that saying when she walks with kids on the playground, even though it is painful and wears her out.
Mary K., the asst. principal Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2546626959391412613.post-5030904897114499732012-12-12T14:17:02.122-07:002012-12-12T14:17:02.122-07:00The principal said that I was teaching the kids ho...The principal said that I was teaching the kids how to keep going in the face of adversity. I never thought of it that way until I heard it repeated to me. You are all so very right - and I love the idea of nurturing them like flowers in the garden, Sharon :)
a/bAshleigh Burroughshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05790757220725900941noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2546626959391412613.post-45572075462306760332012-12-12T10:46:53.952-07:002012-12-12T10:46:53.952-07:00I giggled at this post. Even when I tell my kids they are "on my list", I chuckle when they say, "No Mommy, I don't want to be on your list". He he.

I love that you are teaching them that working hard is paying off. Those 2nd graders can see how far you have come. It's a life lesson for them to see this and I think you are benefiting from it too--in that you are learning along the way. ;)

Keep up the great work and it's awesome you found something that motivates you and helps others too.

Megan xxxMShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02622415628314992252noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2546626959391412613.post-81016157541048461532012-12-12T08:56:14.102-07:002012-12-12T08:56:14.102-07:00So true, Sharon. :)So true, Sharon. :)Tennismomazhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06648275865147710529noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2546626959391412613.post-22749132447125039332012-12-12T08:55:03.811-07:002012-12-12T08:55:03.811-07:00Slow & steady wins the race.
