COVID

I was so proud that is avoided the scourge.

Then there was this:
I feel awful.  I have Paxlovid and Robitussin and Advil and Aspirin and an attentive if distanced husband.

What I don't have is brain power.

I'll try to recoup and regroup and be able to type to you tomorrow.  Now  though,  I'm going to do what everyone tells me is the best thing to do - I'm going to rest.

Rest and Paxlovid will now be your best friends. I felt better within a day of taking it. Hope it will work as well for you.

I'm so sorry! I've managed to avoid it so far, but from all I've heard, rest and Paxlovid are indeed the keys!

I'm sorry that the plague is still afflicting us -you- with it's unpleasantness. Be careful, get well.

Oh, to have come so far, and now to be taken out by this vile virus. I just recently got Vaccine #8 for COVID. I asked the pharmacist if we will ever be finished with these and he thought not. The strains are changing almost monthly because of people continuing to travel and they take the virus from place to place where it mutates so well. Each vaccine has changed to go along with the mutations. Sigh.

Suzi, I hope you are feeling a bit better by now. And yes, covid is going to be with us from now on and the vaccinations will probably accompany the flu shots in the fall. Moderna is working on a single shot for both viruses which has shown better efficacy than the two separate shots. Unfortunately it won't be out until Fall 2025.
