I enjoyed the nonsense rhymes and when I saw the "alley'garoo" I was amazed. Our Hutchinson Kansas high school yell and the name of our year book was Allagaroo! The yell was full of nonsense words and rhymes too.
I wonder where the word (term?) came from. Thanks for your blog. I love what you do with the students.

Pogo was my favorite comic strip. I remember it being filled with nonsense and profundity. Perhaps it's a Pogo-centric term?
