I just can't.
Writing about it is impossible.
Thinking about it is impossible.
Holding it in my heart redefines impossible.
So, I'm going to watch Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski, both resplendent in pink.
I'm going to wonder with the Science Channel whether Nikola Tesla invented a death machine.
I'm going to watch women skate furiously and ski fearlessly.
I'm going to try not to cry.
We don't have to live like this.
We don't have to die like this.

I don't write about issues in my main blog but will on Saturday because I am angry, sad and angry. I will put out what I think should be done but it won't be done because of our partisan divide that blocks action on either side. It is horrifying to believe we have legislators who do nothing all to protect their money and power-- and that does not mean just one side.
I thought of you over this and knew how it would impact all those who have been through it but we all have been through it to lesser levels as we know it could be us or our loved ones. These monsters hurt us all. We can't end monsters as they come for reasons most of us don't begin to understand. We can do things that can limit their effectiveness. We aren't. Sorry for what it has cost you again but believe me, you are not alone. It's costing us all. It needs to be a bigger reason why we vote and who runs for office!
I'm with you. I actually feel physically ill today. I could not sleep last night. I'm so damn tired of these politicians doing absolutely nothing to curb this violence.
Watch the Olympics and try not even look at this.
